How does my work fit into the context of other similar products?

After analysing Katy Perry’s digipak for her album “One of the Boys”, I found lots of similarities in the way that I wanted to represent my album.

For example, her cover had a lot of signifiers of femininity and classic female roles, which juxtaposed with the title of the album.
When researching websites, I looked at Taylor Swift's and I liked how even though her album and website didn’t have the exact same images and design, she still linked the website to her album by trying to convey the message/idea behind the design of the cover.
