Pop promotes the idea of youth and freedom which teenage girls can identify with.

Also the pop industry is mostly dominated by females.

The website carries on the idea of playfulness and youth.

The backgrounds are mostly of Matilda blurred out in pink or white.

It also has features like a page for lyrics, which would appeal to young girls because there is a ‘fan girl’ culture amongst teenagers and when they like something/someone, they love it intensely.
